Somebody Please Help... I have the same issue here as everyone else with my 2004 Intrepid 2.7L. P0344 code. I replaced the cam position sensor and now if car goes over 2400 RPM it jerks and cuts out. Didnt do this with old cam position sensor but with old one the car intermitenly would just crank and not start, eventually it would start and drive normally till it happens again. Is there any cure for this issue ???

Do a check of your exhaust pipe and muffler to see if any restrictions present. Just one of many checks.

Deezozdodge.. Thank you for responding.

There is no smoke of any kind coming out of exhaust. I have not checked the exhaust for restrictions other than ensuring feeling exhaust out of tail pipe. I will add this to the issue. The car runs great when I get it to run. Its has not cut out while it is running yet. This issue only happens when I go to start the car. Not every time but randomly the car will not start... If I crank it and it dont start, I turn off the key... wait a minute or two and try it again. If it just cranks I repeat turning off the car and waiting a minute or two to try it again and so far it does start by repeating this procedure a couple of times. I am just leary of when the part that is starting to fail finally quits totaly and leaves me stranded.

Joe

Check exhaust system for restrictions. Pressure test fuel system. Hell, test everthing...
