Default error codes

Hey all.
My engine light has been on for a few days now in my 04 intrep and when its on I notice that the car runs rough. This has happened before and normally goes away after a few days. The codes that I am getting are p0441 and p0301. Also the dome lights have been comming on for about two seconds randomly.
Any help would be great......

P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
There is a leak in your system. Have a smoke test performed by a dealer or another shop. The dealer found a bad hose in my 02 Intrepid. No problems after that.

P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
This code is perhaps associated with P0441, because I had the same problem. After the replacement of the hose, the code went away and the vehicle drove fine after that.

When was the last time you changed your O2 sensors? If they need replacing, replace them.

Check out the other threads of folks who had the same codes on their vehicles.
This forum has a complete service manual, and you can get it by doing the following:

Click on Dodge forum on the top menu
Scroll down and click on Dodge Intrepid
Scroll down and click 2nd Gen Intrepid
Scroll down and click on THE HOLY GRAIL
Then click on the link 2nd Gen LH service manual
from there you can download parts 1 and 2 of the manual.
You will need Adobe.

Check out www.boxwrench.net. It is another forum and it is super. Check out the DVD they offer on how to breakdown and rebuild the engine and transmission. You can also check out some of their videos on youtube.com. The vids on youtube are just samples on how the presentation of the DVD videos are, but it also has useful information and you can see how they perform the procedures.
