I am in the market for a four door family car. Dependability, ride quality, fuel economy and looks are on my list. As long as my car can cruise at 80 and get over 30MPG without thrashing me to death I will be happy. The only thing my current Avenger is lacking is two extra doors. If I find a good deal on a 2002-2004 Intrepid I may be interested. I have a 1981 Dodge Mirada CMX for throwing money away on.

 

if you find an intrepid, find one with a 3.2 or 3.5. you will be much happier in the long run. far too many problems with 2.7. was a design flaw that caused numerous sludged up engines. also they used a timing chain, which was prone to failure--the chain itself and some of the timing components. i have an 01 3.2 with 180k. zero problems other than standard maintenance. hope this helps and you find a good intrepid...

 

I'd just keep the avenger, I bought an Intrepid and by god I want to give it back, Tires make sound rides crooked and bad on MPG...
