My 1999 intrepid has the symptoms of a dead battery but when we try to jump start it the lights start freaking out and the horn honked like three times. Someone told me they thought it may be a security system issue, is there a way to reset the system or is this something completly different? I drove the car three days ago and it was just fine, the headlight switch was in the "off" position so I don't know how the battery would've died. Any help would be nice, I'm a student and don't want to pay to bring my car into a mechanic unless necessary. Thanks.
