I have a 96 intrepid with a 3.3. It is showing error code p1296. What does this mean?

The 5 volts needed at the MAP sensor, are not present. Probably a broke wire, or loose connection.

P1296 1T CCM 2000-04 300M, Concorde, Intrepid, LHS 5-Volt VREF Supply Not Present Conditions: Key on, altitude indicating zero feet above seal level, then the PCM detected the MAP Sensor was near 101 kPa; or with altitude at 1200 feet above sea level, the MAP Sensor was near 88 kPa. Possible Causes: MAP Sensor VREF circuit open between the Sensor and PCM MAP Sensor ground circuit open between the Sensor and PCM MAP Sensor is damaged or has failed PCM has failed
