Car starts and idles but when I step on the gas it shuts it self off. Anybody have any ideas on where to go to solve this issue. Car ran well, shut it off, went back out to go again and it was hard starting in the beginning. It finally started after a couple of tries. I ran it to the garage at idle, shut it off. It would not start for a couple of days. It started again and now it only idles.

 

Lots can cause this vauge problem. Any engine light? Can you isolate (do you know how and do you have the tools) systems? If so, here are some good starters to check.

Some ideas:
Fuel pressure (filter change or pump problem)
MAP sensor
Vac leak
EGR
Timing belt slip
