code 301?
Hey guys.
So I am not really good with cars lol.
I looked up my code,301 and says thats it the first cylinder having a misfire. Any clues on how to fix this, other than going to a garage?
Or could it be a bunch of differant things?
Its a 2004 2.7.
Thanks

I have driven with this problem for a while now and done the following so far.......
1 Replaced spark plugs.
2 replaced ignition module.
3 Cleaned and reseated the connectors on the PCM. (the TAN labeled one, third from right looking towards the rear, has wires going to ignition modules).
4 Checked continuity from pin 10 to #1 ignition mudule.(not the green wire) ....ok
5 With current probe and oscilloscope compared signal traces with other ignition modules. Signal was there but 30% smaller.
The green wire to the ignition modules is +12V coming from the automatic shut down relay.
The white return wires with color trace go from modules to electronic control module where it is switched on and off.
I will let you know when I find the cause of the problem.
Cont'd:
Got a PCM from the junk yard and installed it, Car started buts quits: OBDII codes 0513 and 0633.
0531 pertains to the code of my ign key which was of course nog programmed into that box.
0633 was not listed but I think has something to do with either the VIN number or Mileage in the car not matching.
Put my own PCM back in, engine runs but not smooth even though no Error code appeared again.
BTW this is on a 2002 3.5l Intrepid..
