I found tons of instructions on how to replace the timing chain in various service manual sources such as Factory service manuals, Shopkey5, Mitchell service books, etc. Word of warning, this job is s BEOTCH to say the least. One small error and your engine will be junk! You will need a special crank pulley puller. and be prepared for many hrs of frustration. However if you have enough beers, it's a bit more painless. A quick google search shows a lot of decent instructions http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

If you haven't done a water pump on a 2.7L. You may want to have a shop do the repairs. Because you may not have the special tools to do the repairs.

Either you have the same problem or you didn't assemble it correctly. No it just won't magically fix itself.

it was definitely assembled correctly and dont think i could get a bad pumpfrom chrysler im starting to lean towrds a head gasket or cracked head because the person whose car it is ran it hot enough to where it was sputtering and cutting out and i have cranked it see if it stops and it does but then it bubbles realbad into the resevoir adn then once it cools down it leaks out of the weep hole again

ya coud be hg, yall mite figgure that out with a leakdown test. of corse everyone with some prob alwys says that i forsure pit it toghether abslutely correct but if the gaske was not rite nicked or somthing or even some little dirt on the moter. sounds like a bumer cuz pulling the heads aint no fun ether. when i do them i'm carful not to undo the cam to cam timing. on one moter i couldnt find no marks to line up cam to cam the book says these have colored links like the main one but i couldnt find them on mine so i just was careful wen i pulled them off togethr

Couldve either purchased a defect or put the old water pump on, but I know you're that careful in not to. I had mine done by a mechanic, and so what I paid 800.00 for the job, but I paid for peace of mind - that is when I had the 800.00, then a different story.
