Default Cam Shaft Sensor Issues

The original engine on my 2001 Dodge Intrepid went bad at 161,000 miles. It was replaced with 22,00 miles "2.7 dohc 24 valve" engine from a charger. Now the Cam shaft sensor has gone bad and I cant locate it to replace. Could anyone direct me when that sensor is?

I would think it's the same but if not, try posting in the charger section. Just so the moderator dosen't redirect your post, ensure the title reads somthing like "can someone help me with the loTcation of a crank sensor for a 2.7L engine"?

PS. See Holy Grail at top of fourm for a 2nd gen manual (it can show you the exact location (and more) for the sensor).

Check the Holy Grail for best info, but the camshaft sensor is at the front of the engine, bolted into the top of the front timing cover of the engine 3 to 4 inches to the right of center. One wiring connector and fastened with a single bolt.

Crankshaft sensor is on the passenger side, deep down near where the transmission meets the engine.
