For some reason when I push the a/c button the rear defroster light comes on. And when I push the rear defroster button the a/c light comes on. It's like they are both tied together.
what could be causing this?

Has any work been done to the a/c panel? Maybe the wire connectors are crossed.

 

There hasn't been any work done to the car in long while. It just started doing that.
