2002 intrepid!! Need speaker help
You're in for the worst speaker change ever....
1. Pull up the back seat bench (where your butt goes) it will just pop out with enough force.
2. There are four large bolts on the bottom of the backrest that keep it secured to the chassis and hold the seatbelt clips on. Remove them and set them aside in a safe place.
3. Lift up and pull out on the backrest to remove it.
4. On either side of the back deck, remove the plastic interior molding. Do this carefully, as the retainer clips can break off.
5. The back deck is secured by 3 black clips that look like screws. pull them out and put them aside.
6. The back deck should now slide out, giving you access to the rear speakers.
When you reassemble this, make sure the two (or three?) tongues on the rear of the back deck fit inside the slots.
Good Luck!
