crank sensor problem

Default crank sensor problem

i was working on my car checking oil level ect . and i look at the crank sensor is next to the trans .. while i was looking i saw the two cables from the conector had gray tape. soo i turn the eengine on. n i start moving the crankshaft sensor conecctor n the engine shuts off .. well it runs back agian but thats wierd. am also having revolution problems .. n no check engine light are this signs of crank sensor falling???

updated

the car still runs. but i have problem with the rpm revolutions.. the problem is when i move the crank connector the engine stall n shuts off..

put a new one it, you already figured it out

ok what are the main symptoms when the crankshaft sensor is failing ???

when you touch it while the car is running and it dies. then you know that the sensor needs to be replaced.
