Hey all. I'm yet another new guy with the curse of an Intrepid problem. Short story is the check engine light is on, the dash gauges all work and the car is locked in 2nd gear. I believe this is " limp home mode" I take it to my local Ammco shop and get the codes pulled. The guy says the trans relay is bad, but won't help me locate it.. Is there more than one and where are they?

 

Well "the guy" is a complete moron. There's dozens of things that will cause your problem. A scanner would be best to find the exact code. BTW the trans relay is under the hood with a butt load of other relays in a big black box along with a mess of fuses too.
