Default catalytic convertor

will my 2000 dodge intrepid run without a catalytic convertor - no emissions testing in my state

yes it will run w/o the cats, but your check engine light will come with a P0421 and/or P0431 code saying that the cats are ineffiecient/not working.

is there any way, that you know of, where i can eliminate the CAT and trick the computer where i won't get a light or code

it is very hard to do that, you have to know someone who can hack into the factory PCM programming and have them tell the PCM to ignore the downstream O2 sensor voltage. Other than that, it's illegal.
