EVIC Question some functions not working right.
Hi, I've recently installed an EVIC unit and when I have the drivers door open it doesn't display that it is. Also when I open either of the other 3 doors either separately or together the only thing it displays is "2 Door Open". Other functions appear to be working
Background.
Evic unit is from 00 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited ($35 from wreckers)
My vehicle is 04 intrepid. Now I've read that I can pull an evic out of Concords, LHS, 300 and Jeep.
Now comes my question.. I've read numerous sites and only 2 I think mentioned that only 02 and up will work with 02's + and 01 down with work with 01 - but i took it as only OTIS units because of the way the BCM communicated. Is this true with EVIC also and can this be the cause of the problem I'm having?
