bought car sometimes shift into park and sometimes not
what can be the issue

 

Check Shifter Cable for binding, might need some adjustment and lubrication on the Transmission linkage.



Or it is possible that you have a bad Floor shifter.
open it up and inspect it. Remove the Cable from floor shifter, see if you can slide the shift lever into Park, so u know if the problem is the trans side or the inside


I HIGHLY doubt there are internal trans problem.

 

thank u so much i bought the car and this is 2nd motor they put in previous owners i do have another shifter cable i,ll change that
