Intrepid With MASSIVE issues help Please
I am new to the forum and to Intrepids but I am fairly well experienced when it comes to mechanics. To the point: 3 Weeks ago I helped my brother buy a car, the budget was low and we went private party. We found an This intrepid, 2000, 3.2 ES, Leather, Infinity Etc... Took it for a drive, kicked the tires, looked under the hood, listened to it, etc... it was a good sell and we bought it for $1600. So a day goes buy and I start it up to do my check of the whole thing. It is making a noise that it wasn't before, I chalked it up to a loose exhaust piece. So I gapped the plugs checked the oil, added a bit, and called it a day. 2 Weeks later I get a look at the car again, it was in my brothers hands so i didn't see it, and the noise is bad. I did some research and It was the water pump. So replace the pump, timing belt, put it all back together. I started adding coolant and Oil was being pushed into the top of the tank. Checked the oil level and it was way down. So I put all the pieces together: the water pump was bad when we bought it and over the las 3 weeks were he was flushing coolant out of the engine so nothing was circulation. The engine overheated and blew a head gasket. I started breaking down the cooling system and it was FUll of oil. So I broke down the engine to check the head gaskets. They dont looks like they are blown or bad. Now the things to note. The drivers side head is coated in a nice yellow, brown burned oil color but the passenger side is not, The drivers side of the block is coated in dripping oil and the passengers side is not. the Oil appears to be coming from the head. Please i need as much help as anyone can give me
I have a couple of pics for now i will upload more tomorrow after work or before.
As you can see The passenger side looks like you would expect it too while the drivers side looks burned up. I took this before i pulled the head
