I have a 01 Intrepid with 23,000 miles on it. It just got cold hear in Michigan and my fan for the heat only works on number 4. When I *** to 3 it completely shuts off because I can hear the ducs close. Has anyone had the same problem ???

 

Usually when the blower only works on high is when the resistor is messed up by the bloer motor. It has a default to high for foggy windows.

 

So I need to replace the resistor ?

 

yes. If it keeps blowing then usually the blower motor is using to much amperage and needs to be replaced also.
