Default 2.7 motor pull

I have a 2.7 liter in a 1999 intrepid and the motor recently went. I was driving it and all of a sudden I could hear metal crunching and twisting. I didnt crack the block so I am hoping to be able to use it. Any way I was wondering if any one could give me some tips on pulling this motor and when I rebuild it. Other than using synthetic oil and engine flushes. Thanks .

i dont personally have an Intrepid nor a Chrysler with the 2.7... but if i did i would rather just pull it out and find a 3.3 and put it in... but thats just me...

3.3 is first generation. that wouldn't work out well. but in 1999 there was a 3.2L engine option that would be a good alternative.

don't you just use a cherry picker i think it is called to get an engine in and out of a car?
