Chrysler Intrepid, Why?
In March I got a Intrepid to replace my aging, gas guzzling, old Ramcharger (Not that Im complaining
). It was on a Chrylser dealership lot near where I live and I fell in love with it and its price of $4000. I later found out it was a rental car (National Car Rental sticker on inside of the driver side door) but it had been nicely maintained. I was just curious, how many Chrysler Intrepids were made? According to some parts stores Ive gotten small items from, there is no such thing, but it has a Chrysler emblam on the hood and the steering wheel, plus on the lower part of the front doors, the letters "C H R Y S L E R". Why did Chrysler have them in their line? Chrysler had a variant of the Dodge Intrepid, the 300M and the LHS, why market an Intrepid? Ive seen other Chrysler Intrepids here and there but dont understand why.

Canadian huh? I do have a Chrysler Canada sticker on the door, I assumed it was where all Intrepids were made, not that it was a Canadian car. Thanks guys.

It is a Canadian SOLD vehicle. It was built and sold specifically for the Canadian market.
Where it is manufactured has no determination of the name on the door. Many US market-built vehicles are built in Canada or Mexico.
