Swaped out the old sensor for a new one and all seems well. Car running fine and the check engine light is off. Now I've got to change the belts. Looks tight in there. Any tips?

P1684 Metering Oil Pump Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
I just received this error code today.

Can anyone tell me where this sensor is located on an 01 w/2.7L and/or how much $$$ a new one is going to run me? OR point me in the right direction to find out on my own...

Huh? This is the out of the 02 service manual:
OBTAINING DTC’S USING IGNITION KEY
(1) Cycle the ignition key On - Off - On - Off - On
within 5 seconds.
(2) The Odometer will show the P-code for the
DTC code number. Refer to the Emission section for
the DTC chart for a detailed explanation of the DTC
codes.
(3) If no DTC’s are present, the cluster will display
one of two texts: “P1684” and “done” or only “done”.
²
P1684 is only a status and indicates that the
PCM memory has been cleared within the last 50
ignition cycles and does not indicate a problem.
²
done indicates that NO DTCs are present and
the procedure is complete.
Where did you get this "P1684 Metering Oil Pump Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction" info?

hello,

i saw this post and thought i would just add to it instead of creating a new thread.
i filled gas and went to start my car and it cranked but didnt start. i shut it off and tried again and fired up. Ive stopped and restarted it mulitple times since and seems to run fine. i got both codes of P0340 and P1684. My question is, I have 2 more days of work and a 80 mile drive to a shop to get it checked out. Is this gonna keep me from doing any of this??? is it going to be ok to drive it with these problems? any help is appreciated in advance! Thanks
