If you just put the springs on your stock struts it will void the section of the warranty that covers the struts.

legally no mods can void your warrenty. they have to prove that the mod is what caused the failure. IE the magnuson vs moss lawsuite

"legally" they can void a warrenty for whatever they want........ cause 99% of us dont have the time or the money to fight it!!! Thats why we here like to call them "stealerships"
And in most warrenty papers now it says many many times "any and all "aftermarket" or "performance" modifications of any kind will void part or all of covered parts"
