I need suggestions for my next mod. I have about 150 dollars to spend. I would like to do something with performance but anyone have any suggestions?

 

Save an extra $70 and buy a Comp 400 camshaft...or you can try andfind a used 60mm TB.

 

what will a comp 400 camshaft do?

 

A new camshaft will increase HP and TQ by allowing more time for the intake and exhaust to remain open....

A camshaft is a very good mod but only good if you have the appropriate mods... which have been discussed in every camshaft thread I have read on this forum.

Such propper mods are:

CAI
Performance (ported or what not) Intake Manifold
60 - 55mm Throttle Body
header
Exhaust

and that is just basic stuff....


If you really want to buy something NOW performance wise... you have a couple options.

Judging from your signature (which was awesome and helped me come up with a propper list) you have:

1.) Motor Mounts ($40 approx.)
Motor mounts decrease wheel hop and increase power put to the wheels due to the fact that it limits the amount of power lost due to engine vibration and such.
2.) Save up for better mods....

150 isn't much. It looks as if u haven't done anything with the exhaust. I'd work on that.

 

He has an srt exhaust.

Get some headers or some nice spark plug wires.

 

theres only one header and spark plug wires dont do anything (even though i have them lol) id say save the money for either a rainy day or to do something bigger when you have more. 150 isnt really all that much
