yesh the stuff on ebay is basically the same as takin your cover off, if you want more power, id suggest taking off the HUGE plastic jug under your fender well, it does absolutly nothing, and you can get even better airflow if you take it out

 

I put the filter on the TB without the air box.

It feels stock.

I miss my cai but it's going to be raining bad so i'm stuck with it for now.

If you are gonna run a stock setup without the top on try an Amsoil EaA filter and get much better filtration and just as much flow. Washable, no oiling, finer filtering , just as much or more flow, lasts 100,000 miles.

No I am not an Amsoil Dealer. I will get one for my car when they make a pod filter for 2.5" CAI like my K&N Typhoon.

 

Ihave K&N CAI. in my trucks. I have to say, i like them the best.
But that's just me.

 

LIKE the induction too but would appreciate a better filter.

 

I was driving around alot last night I noticed a difference its kinda weird you take a plastic piece off of a vehicle and its louder and gives you a small performance gain AKA POORMANS INTAKE...

thats what i did, took the top off changed the filter.
