Default Single Exhaust Solution

Okay. I would like to go dual exhaust, but I also wanted to know what suggestions anyone had for a single exhaust. I loathe this stock sxt exhaust. The muffler is all fat and ugly looking.

Anyone have any suggestions? The FAQ only had 2 mufflers and I don't really know what else is out there. Any cheap solutions either?

If you can fab your own exhaust run a Y-pipe off the Cat.

Also if it is true dual you want not gonna happen with out a cutomized exhaust manifold. But try a Catback if ther is no other way.

no such thing as a true dual exhaust on a neon. a y at the cat wont do anything because you can only go to the back in one way.

Aside from customizations, is everyone running their stock mufflers? I don't want to get something ricy, but I would like something new.

mikey, you have the srt exhaust with the glasspack?

I think I might get the srt exhaust and weld a glasspack like most people seem to be doing. I'm just hoping it's not too loud because i drive on the freeway a lot.

nope i have no glasspack no resonator or anything on the midpipe. its loud as hell and sounds raspy at high end. a glasspack would be good to put in though. the only reason i didnt put one in is because once i put the turbo motor in. i am going to get a 3in cutout and a super quiet exhaust so i will never be bothered again

It Wont be loud, I have the SRT rear section with a glasspack. i got the rear section for 60 dollars on ebay and a cherry bomb glasspack for 20 at pep boys. and i had it installed for 40 bucks at a mufflershop. It sounds great and its nice and deep. Or just go with a vibrant dual exhaust it sounds good u can get it modernperformance.com
