I though you had to hold in the odometer rested button as you turned the ignition. I could be wrong. I have never tried it without holding it, so I may just be doing extra work.

I had a similar problem going much faster though. I had to replace the cam position sensor. But I got that from the codes.

I just confirmed with my car, 2000, you do have to hold in the tripometer reset.

hm.....where I come from you fix the cheapest things possible first to see if you fix the problem before spending the big bucks....I would definately have the plug wires replaced...i would take out the spark plugs and just look at them (it only takes a minute to make sure they are okay)...after that I would hope for an electrical or fuel problem...than lastly the transmission...you might need your transmission fluid flushed and screen cleaned...probly wouldnt hurt to go ahead and do that anyway....

okay, the jerking wasn't that bad at the beginning, but now it is getting out of control, it only does it one when I go up slight hills and between 40-55 mph, and the rpm's are below 2 and a little higher, I didn't have any codes show up when I did that, does anyone think the spark plugs are bad and could these cause this much problem?
