should i put an srt4 engine in it?

Put a turbo charger in it. I put one in my 2000 neon and it accelerates much faster now. I love it.

 

What would be needed to put a turbo charger in it?

 

Hahn is what I would go with if I were you they are brand new and not used like a srt4 and you can use some srt4 parts with it if you wanted to .

 

someone told me a turbo charge wouldnt work in my car beczuase if i go to fast my axels would snap
so i shouldnt put an srt4 engine in my car?

 

I would go with a hahn turbo kit the guy that said that has a hahn stage1 turbo kit in his 00 neon and I have a stage2 hahn kit in my 1st gen neon works great.

 

so what that kid said is wrong about me goin to fast that the axel will snap? he said it would snap because i needed to upgrade my suspension

 

ok the way to make your neon faster is put an srt-4 motor. It already comes with a turbo so u set to go. Our 2.0 engines werent designed for a turbo. So in order to put a trubo in u have to change alot of your stockinternals to able to run a higher boostwhich is very expensive.some people can say u can run under 7psi on stock internals but it ruins the life of your motor. And no your axles wont snap with a turbo from what ive heard. When u upgrade yoursuspension its springs, and struts or coilovers or sway bars, not your axle....

 

i might skip on the engine if i was to buy a new engine i might as well jusst buy a new car

 

yeah thats what im going to do because i rather buy an SRT4 than do a swap. You can always turbo your neon.
