Default Have a slight engine problem!

Well I changed my plugs from the platium plugs that everyone warned me about to some autolite platiums and also changed out my show cf intake filter for my k&n filter and still having a problem with her hesiting when ata stop light no engine light as of yet . She has 82 thousand on my sxt . So what could be the problem could it be the plugs again or do I need to change my wires . I have mopar performance wires . Other than ngks which are the best for neons . Seems like Im getting really good gas mileage though.

try the wires and and coil pack, mine had to be replaced, when at a stop i would accelerate and the car would sputter then take off, not sure if you are having the same problem

inspect the wires thoroughly to see if they are burnt or discolored

If you have a multi-meter check the wires for resistance should be ~2300-7300 Ohms resistance and should not change as you flex the wires. Also check the coil as
Primary resistance using the leads on from the connector should be .45-.65 ohms (steel tower) or .53-.65 ohms (brass towers) and
secondary resistance on the towers should be 11500-13500 ohms (steel tower) or 10900-14700 ohms (brass tower).

Should have 2 coils on the 4 pin connector so each pin should have a mate and no electrical connection to the other 2 pins. And same with measuring the towers.

If you pull the plus should be 5000-6000 ohms. Champions are normally up in the 8000-9000 range after being run(New they are normally between 20K-125K from what I have seen)

Did you get the Autolite Double Platinum plugs or single? Double is what you need and have worked wonderfully so far in my car.

What would you guys recommend for plug wires in red . Also im going to try and get some fuel injector cleaner and see if that works with a new fill up of super unleaded this time.

For the plug wires, the MSD ones are really nice, and those are the ones I have installed...as for the fuel injector cleaner, even though I use it every 5,000 miles, it really doesnt do anything since its virtually impossible to foul modern fuel injecters. One, because of the design of the injector, and two, all the additives in the fuel already keeps the system pretty clean on its own.

Im going to try the fuel injector stuff 1st and fill her up with super unleaded than do the stock wires back on until I can order me some msd wires since my autoparts stores probably wont carry them. So what else could be the problem . no engine light just every time Im at a stop light she acts like shes going to die more and more.

sounds exactly like what happened to me, talked to my mechanic and he told me that when that happened they changed my spark plug wires and it worked fine but they changed the coil pack just in case, doesn't hurt to have new parts. its scary having that happen it feels nasty lol
