So i jus got a new block this morning... I been told to bore it over...Good idea or bad...

Man...If I had a block just sitting around I would bore it out, put new pistons, rods, etc. Build it up and then drop it in.

Well its all built up up top...So i jus need to do tha bottom...But i was jus told by a racer not to build it up unless im gunna put nos on it or turbo it...I plan on doin tha srt4 swap as soon as i get bout 5k...Which shouldnt take me longer than a few months...

If you're planning on doing the SRT-4 swap then don't put any more money into that motor. Put it into the SRT motor. If u weren't going to get the srt motor then I'd say build it up.

Oh yeah...agreed. Boring out and getting all the stuff needed to bore out isn't cheap.

hey uh... so.... whatcha doing with the ol' uh.... block there... you know... the one that wont be in the car anymore.... the one that you have worked on but getting an SRT-4 motor instead... you know?... you know?

boring and honing can cost anywhere from 25-125 a hole.but you ask if you should bore it. It totally depends on the condition of the pistin sleeves.

Well freerider if everything goes as planned i should b gettin this swap donein like within tha next few months...Sounds like ur interested in that old one...When tha time come it will deff. b up for sale...
