ok so this morning i was driving and went to back into my parking spot at school and when i put the car in reverse it wouldnt move at all it was like neutral, and neutral is like drive and drive is like drive, and park is still like park always is. why would reverse not be working at all.

 

It sounds like an automatic trans. am I correct?

how many miles are on it??? I wouldnt know what to tell you except get the transmission fluid changed and the screen cleaned...how's your maintainence???

 

I'm not familiar with autos. I'm sure they have a shifting cable right?

 

im not too familiar with autos either...I know my dad's truck was an auto when he put it into 1st it wouldnt go until the fluid in the trainny was warmed up...(sludge)...so he had it seviced (cleaned, flushed, new fluid)....cable?? are you thinking like maybe that lil P R N 1 2 D thing is out of sync??

The first thing I thought when I read this is that it could be out of sync. I really don't know though. Auto trannsmission work waaayyyy different than MTX's. Whoever discovered ATX's is a freakin genius.

 

change the fluid and filter and clean it all out then see if it works when you take the oan off look at the mag and see how much shaving are on it if there is a lot i would have some one look at it
