want to go low
ok i am new to the site but i am not new to the neon world. i want to know what would be the best way to slam my 2004 dodge neon se. i would also like to have a feed back on what u guys think of the o3 dodge neon rt are they worth the little more money or should i just get another se. and all of u that would say just get an srt4 i would love to but i am in the worst place in to find one and i cant just take leave when i want to go and get one. and lastly doesany one know of a good place to get some used or new srt4 parts like bumbers wings seats and things like that. any help would be of great help.
ok for the lowering, get the tokico suspension package. its less than 400. theyre tokico hp blue struts, and their lowering springs which drop it 1.4 in the front, and i think 1.8 in the back to even the ride out because neons are so *** high to begin with. i have it and its awesome. the rts are faster, so if thats what you are looking for then get it lol i cant really give advise because i dont know what you want. reliabilitywise, they are prob the same. for srt parts, i would check srtforums.com forsale section
If u want to drop the car u can get some good springs. Eibach prokit is nice and wont destroy the stock struts. They'll reduce the life but the'll last a bit. If u want to go lower I'd say do the Eibach sportlines. With the sportlines you'll need to get upgraded struts asap.
Other than springs, coilovers would be best. They cost way more though.
I'd get an 03 RT. They're cheaper now then back in the day obviously. It just depends on the price and if it's a good deal.
The tokico that spikey listed seems like the best deal.

SRT parts can be found, but you have to search for them. ebay is usually a little on the expensive side. but also check the classifieds on here, srtforums, 2gn -dot- org, neons -dot- org, etc. just keep looking. the rear bumper will bolt right on, as will the spoiler (if you already have the low-wing). oh, and i would reccomend also getting the side skirts and painted doorhandles (if yours has the black ones) as those are both dead giveaways that its not an SRT. additionally, the SRT exhaust rear section bolts right up. the stock exhaust is 2.25" on the sxt most of the way back, as is the SRT4. so you can get an SRT exhaust relatively cheap and throw it on there too.

of course for all the trouble of buying all these parts, you could consider trading up on an SRT4 and have the real thing

here my how-to on the rear bumper conversion:

and a link to front facia removal (non SRT but it will help):

and as stated above, youll need to pick up the SRT washer fluid resivor.
if you want the true SRT look, youll also want to get the SRT side skirts.
the bolt holes for the mid and high wing are the same, if you already have a spoiler on the sxt, all you need is the spoiler. and if you have a clean trunk lid there are plenty of SRT owners out there willing to trade up.
the topic of SRT rims on an sxt has come up much inthe past. there have been reports of the sxt struts rubbing, so you may need to pickup the stock SRT struts and springs.

I should also add that the SXT and SRT hoods are different. while the hood scoup is obvious a little more subtle is the fact the SXT hood is 1" shorter. so you may find some issue with the hood/bumper lineup in the front until you get the SRT hood on it.

you can see, look where they line up on the headlights, and look at how the SXT hood is more of a V shapped at the end.

Like stated above, the side skirts make a difference:

You might also want to get some tighter mesh for the front... as its gonna look pretty naked without an intercooler in there.

can any one tell me what is wrong with the eibach sportlines. or do people just say that they dont like them cus they drop the car to much or do they have a bad ride or some thing. thanks for any help
it drops it 2 inches, and your stock struts will not last. they are good quality though, becasue they are eibach, but i think that is wayy too low. my tokicos have the pinchweld from my car like 4-5 inches from the ground and thats far enough for me
