I think you could probably do it yourself...it will take you longer to do than for a more experienced DIY mechanic, but everyone has to do it for a first time. I would also suggest buying a Chiltons and/or Haynes manual to help with the install...then of course we can help you out as well.

 

yea i guess ill trying it and if i screw up my dads friends is a know everything mechanic so he can come clean up my mess

 

i installed mine myself but i had a friend watchin me making sure i didnt screw it up and kinda coachin me along it helped a lot i would suggest findin a friend to help you you'd do the work but wouldnt mess it up
