If you can get a whole srt4 motor, your gonna wanna get the tranny while your at it. Make sure that it comes with all the components your gonna need to get it runnin, unless your planning on getting all new performance parts for the engine. As for it fitting , i heard that it just drops into place. that may not be the case but its what ive been told. Im plannin on doin the swap myself when i save up the cash. The lurching in your car might be the fuel pump. get it tested or do it yourself. Thats what happend with mine.

Yea the wife is not lookiong forward to me re doing another car after the Monte lol. She told me I have to get my own insurance now. I just had my Ninja worked on so she is telling me I have to take my time with this one. I think I found a guy near me who has a 2005 SRT Motor for sale not sure about the tran tho. the motor only has 8k on it the car it came from was crushed in the rear and tisted the frame so I am gonna have to take a close look at it before I shell out the dough for it. Not exactly sure how I am gonna do this car looking for any kind of suggestions. One of the first things I plan for is a new interior and motor. Not sure about the performance parts at this time. The paint is in great condition but is dulling in some spots and it is a plumb color. Kinda plain for me, wanna get fire engine red or midnight blue.

Thanks to -03neonRT-
For the SRT-4 turbo engine, you will need the following parts:
Engine and Tranny
Complete Engine Wiring Harness
Complete Engine Bay Wiring Harness
Power Steering Pump, lines, and cooler
Clutch master and slave cylinder
Clutch/Brake Pedal assembly
Intercooler Piping
Intercooler
Radiator Hoses
Lower Motor Mounts (the hole in the lower mount is larger for larger bolts)
SRT PCM (wont' need the bracket if swapping into an 03+)
Axles (and half shaft if it isn't on the engine)
Coolant Bottle
Fuel Line from tank to engine bay
Fuel Pump
Flex Fuel line from solid fuel line to fuel rail
Short evap hose that comes from the purge valve
All vacuum lines and the 3 selonids
o2 Sensors
Turbo Housing + o2 Housing
Lower Control Arms (they're stronger yet the same in shape)
Some options parts would include:
SRT Power steering rack (it's shorter)
Knuckles
Flexiable Brake Lines
Calipers
Rotors
The stimated cost will be anywhere from $3,000-$5,000 depending on many factors...if you install it or not, are you buying a donor car, or just the engine/tranny, and costs for misc. parts, etc...

yea just a donor car, I know the guy who is selling it. He was rolled over by a dump truck near his house and crushed the rear end all the way to the back seats lol there is no back seat left. Thanks a million for that info Kapital it is very much appreciated. I am gonna do the swap out myself, I wanna show the kid how to work on cars like my dad did with me when I was younger. I am going to look at the SRT today when I can get away from the wife for a lil while lol. If the interior front seats don't look bad I might as well buy the whole car for parts then scrap it when I am done getting what I need. Thanks for all the info ya'll will be posting pics and stuff as the work goes on I am ready to get full into this real soon

I replaced the cooliong system about 2 weeks back. New H20 Pump New Radiator, New hoses, etc. I put in some stuff the guy at the parts store reccomended, Lucas Injector Cleaner. I changed the front and back brakes, added transmission fluid was a little low. I would like to replace the oil pan or gasket I can't tell exactly where it is leaking from. the Car currently has 228,233 miles and I have had it about 3 months now and this is the first time I have had problems with it. I just checked the spark plugs I asked about earlier and see no Oil now so I dunno when the last time the guy did anything with it.
I def wanna get this car in running order, it has potential and don't mind spending the money on it. I had a 98 Neon that ran all the way up to 350k before the engine went lol. All I had done to that was had a system with DVD in it, nothing special but you could hear me from a mile away. This may sound stupid but where do I get dry gas from and which brand would ya'll reccomend?

Just go to wal-mart and pick up any brand of DryGas, I think I use STP brand. Anything really works--or your local autoparts store, they're like less than $2 for a bottle, and just put it in BEFORE your next fill-up.

Alright finally broke down and took it to the shop to have them put it on the computer and test itout. Nothing new here they didn't find anything, pressure is good etc. He seen oil in the spark plugs. (Slaps self in the face) didn't realize this at the time. Got a new valve cover and gaskets along with the grommets the plugs sit in. Ridin fine now. Thanks for all the great info everyone
