Default Lowering springs

Ok, here's the deal.. My ride hight is stock as well as my wheels... I want to drop it but not too much. I plan on going to 17 inch rims and dropping an inch off the sidewalls on the tires... now, will a 2 inch drop be too much right now? and what about later? Should I wait till I get the rims and all? (I originally wanted 1"-1.5" drop. should I wait till a lesser drop becomes avail. on ebay?)

Before or after, doesn't really matter. Although to ensure proper fitment of the wheels, you may want to lower first then get wheels. So that when you buy wheels/tires they fit. Personally I don't know if I would be shopping on ebay for parts to lower my car unless its something name brand. If you are looking for coilovers do yourself a favor and get a nice set. I have heard good things about the mopars and ksports. I think I also saw somewhere that tein has coilovers as well. Just do some research before you buy or else you'll be paying for it.

I have Vogtland springs at about a 1.5" drop and find it to be great. You cans still put it on a lift in a shop with little effort. Depending on floor angle you have to lift a front fender or two less than a 3/16", no biggie. Ride is excellent for lowered springs (H&R are apparently the parent company now so I am told and are good too). They will fit 17" wheels with little fanfare as spring perches are mainly the limiting factor. If you need or want to run taller tires on the car say the size of an SRT4 then just get those struts and springs and you will have the increased clearance needed.

I personally suggest stopping there for ride height drop.

Whatever you do keep in mind that coilovers are expensive....if you are getting them on ebay for $50.00 something is terribly wrong....those are not true coilovers...most true coilover packages gor for around $1000.......thats why most go with lowering springs and upgraded struts bc it is cheaper and to most just as good....IF I COULD but i dont have the money...i would definately get coilovers...
