yeah it can def happen, as you guys have stated it is rare, but does happen. One major benifit to buying name brand is that some name brand systems that go into the wheel well have a water run off port installed on the intake tube so it never makes it past your throttle body. Thats how my AEM intake is. Your also gonna get a bigger HP boost from a wheel well intake since its suckin up cooler air instead of the air right by your engine which is alot hotter.

gratz on the install.

btw...

I NEVER SAID IT COULDN'T happen!!! I only said you have to driving in deep puddles, have your car lowered to the fact it can't be driven anywhere and you are driving and a wave of water comes at you.

it happens, but you take the same danger with buying a stock car where the ****ing filter is outside the engine bay[8D]

Well, I like it pretty well, I got some pretty decent power gain, the sound is really nice too. I showed my mom and she was like well, you gonna start it I was like ok. So I took it to 4000rpm and she got scared as ****. It was worth 50 bucks ****. What should be next on my list in yalls opion, mind I dont want nothing to big and this is an automatic. I just like this car to be nice and not so slow.

peace yall

go to the performance thread on the 2nd gen page. 03neonRT made a badass page for it. congrats on the intake..iv had a cai on for a while and love it..if u do ever get worried the K&n comes with the splash proof watever or they make a pretty cool splash guard u can get off ebay cheap or a valve for by the throttle body that if the cai does come submerged it will suck from there.

Here are some pictures

I just relized that the little pipe with my air intake goes between my throttle body and my engine. Does everything else I did look right, I had no idea what I was doing, I just went at it.
Enjoy my pictures
