My friend just told me how I can down shift my auto. Just double stompin the gas pedal, works great. Never knew this, anyone got an opions..

 

what do you mean dowshift it. like going into a lower gear? it does it for you when you give it enough gas

 

Yea like when I double stomp it just really quickly drops it a gear and i take off flying.

 

yah.. for the car to give you more power at open throttle or stopmpin it, it downshifts first to give it a blast

 

i dont know what you mean by double stomping, but when you give an automatic car enough gas, it will downshift. thats what they are made for

Well you are right Spikey, it does work that way to. But I mean double stomp it like take foot off gas stomp to ground an bak off an stomp it again an hold bascly as fast as you can. It just seems to get the car to downshift a little quicker. Cause not always when I floor it does it downshift and then im in 4th gear at 2500rpm doin 45 miles an hour like "hey car ya wanna do 65 so I can merge". Anyway caio

 

that works in golf carts....

 

just throw your shifter into first gear and downshift that way....???

 

if you downshift to first gear in a automatic neon it wont hurt it at all...take off from a red light and just leave it in first and it will automatically shift to second anyway...thats why i got a manual..
