RE: help making tuff decision
Of course if you want to stay sleeper but away from a 2.4L you can always grab a 2.0 dohc those things are all over the place matter of fact that is what i was thinking bout doing for my 05 SXT. you get the rely ability of a dohc but6 the economy of a 2.0 and i am sure as hell that if you bolt on stage 2 toys from hahn that you are looking at way better perfomance from that then you would be if you were to do it to a sohc. being on the budget you got i say that if you find a 2.0 dohc and do a complete overhaul and rework of that engine you can proly get 400 whp. and when you think that you got all the toys that you want on the engine then you can drop it in and tune it up.

2.0 supped up , sounds way better dan a 2.4, since you have your 2.0 you already know whats going onunder the hood you know your engine fornt piston to piston get a salvage or blown out engine you dunt know whatkind of trciks it might pop out ,my vote is stay with the 2.,0 andsteriod that engine....

nsawp its true i would never trade my neon engine for a salvage one with more miles, mybe if we had a honda then yea remenber jdm engines are made with stronger steal and cheap to remod, but domastic engine are fragile and the littles piece in the engine that might be wrong with is the expensive and hard to find with out rebuilding the whole thing,,,
