Default Wheel Spacers

Hey everyone !First post here... Thought it would be a good place to ask questions lol...I got my Neon a few months ago and I'd like to add wheel spacers. Now my question basically is, does anyone know if with 1/2" wheels spacers (12mm) if it's safe to keep the regular lug bolts or would I need to buy a lug kit too ?Thanks !

Well it's a Neon R/T and I find that giving it a larger stance (i.e wheels flush with end of the fenders) would give it a much nicer look very simply.Should also improve the handling with the new strut tower brace I'm looking into buying too !

honestly bro not to rain on your parade or kill your ambition a imagination on how sick your ride will look but from EXPERIENCE going with wheel spacer is a 50/50 chance of your wheel falling off your adapter,

i had a suv and i bought sum wheels off a guy but he had adapters to fit his truck like mines and i puttin on no more then a week and my spacer lug nuts cracked off cuz of the weight and road wear and tear and my right front wheel came off at 45 mph and i had no control of brakes or car and drove into sum1 living room , so i DUNT RECOMMAND SUCH THING, saftey 1st bro..

or he could just go with wider wheels with a different offset.... that could make it flush with the fenders and give it an even better look if you ask me....

I guess it would depend on the quality of wheel spacers you get, I have had 1" thick 4 lug VW to 5 lug chevy adapters on the rear of my sand rail for about 8 years with no problems. Believe me they have taken way more abuse than I thought they would even running 36" swampers on the back was no problem. I dont see why if you got a good set they wouldn't outlast the car.
