Default 17" rims?

I have a 2000 ES and I just bought some 17" wheels with tires (205x50x17) and they rub the struts really bad. Anyone know if this is supposed to happen? The car isn't lowered (I have springs but they aren't installed), and right now the struts, lowering springs and everything in that area is stock. Do I need to buy more aftermarket parts? If so, which ones? Thanks for the helps guys.

I would maybe get some spacers for your rims and than get some tokiko blue struts to go with your lowering springs thats what I would do in your case.

Well, it looked to me like the strut was sitting directly on top of the wheel. Like it was only rubbing on the top. I hadn't even tried turning the wheels yet when I realized that.

Does anyone know what size you can run if you switch to SRT struts?

you can run 50 series and also wider tires with srt struts . I heard some where you can also run 19's or atleast on a srt-4 you can, not sure about that one.
