quick question. Is there any better upgrade alternative for the throttle body. since the 60mm wont give too much unless u got good mods. thanks

 

I'm not aware of any 55mm TB's for 2nd Gen Neons...the only options is custom fabbing something up or having one custom built by Lorenzo or Modern Performance.

 

I dont know if you have an auto or mtx, but if you have an mtx, the auto TB is one of the cheapest upgrades. Its about 52 or 53mm and actualy gives you decent gains over stock.

 

I thought that using an automatic TB on an mtx car only applied to the 1st generation? I've heard they are the same size on 2GN's

 

its atx. ill prob just leave it alone then. i thought there was another tb that gain some gains. thanks guys

 

I don't think the 60mm is going to hurt anything.

 

That only applies to 1st Gen Neons...all 2nd Gens have 49mm TB's.

The 60mm tb is only beneficial if u have mods to support it. Having a throttle body too big can hurt overall performance, so unless you seriously changed the air flow characteristics inside your engine, U shouldn't use anything bigger than 55mm throttle body.

 

ok then to get decent gains from a 60mm TB what exactly would you have to do?
