I ran this LED for my clear 3rd brake light. It looks awesome during the day to keep the clear going, and looks sweet at night. I was kind of confused though because they make the bases red, which kind of defeats the purpose of going clear?? lol?? So I used tweezers and dipped the red base into a bucket of white paint so the red wouldnt seep through the clear tail lights anymore. I run all LED's in my clear tail lights, they look great, and they are super rare considering most people don't know about them or don't know how to to set them up, but there wicked sweet, heres an ebay link where i got mine!

they are cool but the red coating is too bright and the clear housing is going to stick it out!!1

 

yes that does suck, but if you have the energy, you can get in there and paint it with a light colored object, its worth the effort for the true clear tail light by running the LED

 

nah , just not to brag but the clear stem or silver or 25 led tree bulb..
