Top Speed on your AUTOMATIC Neon
I think project neon has been up to 111mph. I have had my 95 altima to 120mph a couple of times and the fastest I have had my 94 was about 110mph it can go a lot faster but its just plain stupid to drive even that fast.
I hear ya casper. I don't believe the 135+/- from TJW815 with an 03, if I'm not mistaken they're limited to 122mph unless he so managed to take that off. In which case he wouldn't know he was going 135 because the SXT speedo only goes up to 120.
My Neon is a 97 and it is a manual transmission - the speedometer only goes to 120mph - and I have it well passed 120mph - the Rev Limiter will start to kick in shortly after 120mph - If I head to guess -I would say around 135mph.
There are not too many tracks that I have a straight away long enough - but certain tracks like AMS, Daytona, and Road Atlanta you can get up there especially in a draft with another car or two!

First off, believe what you want, second, read a lil closer, there was more than one car there, my brother was in my car, i was on his bike, thats the only way I know what speed It was going, third your not mistaken, but when you send your pcm out to have it remapped, the limiter gets pushed up a lil bit, in my case I guess Jet prefered to keep it at 135... But if you prefer to see it in person, come on out here we'll show ya'

Most if not all performance PCM's, such as Mopar Performance & A/FX, will raise youe rev limiter a few hundred RPM's and it will completely remove any speed limiters if so equipped. Then your only battle is with the higher rev limit and the aerodynamic limits of the car compared to it's power.

That was my problem with it. I know because I have an 04 and I hit the limit and it completely stops accelerating even though it could keep going. I too have not seen anyone who reflashes the pcm and there is no current replacement as of yet.
