if i own a 2004 neon r/t is that sohc or dohc
and do headers increase horsepower that much more

Haha, its kinda dumb but everyone starts somewhere.

for the first Q, check your valve cover

secondly, A header will do wonders if you have supporting modifications.



It all builds upon eachother. No part, by itself, will increase performance dramatically. Its the system of parts and how they work together in the system that produces the best numbers.

All 2nd Gen Neons except the SRT-4 are SOHC. A short tube exhaust header will give you no gains on the R/T, a longtube on the other hand...

sorry if i steal this thread but whats the diff. between 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers i know how the design looks but what are the performance differences?This is for my "other" toynot the neon so im just looking for a generalization (if thats a word)

i think the 4-2-1 starts out with 4 pipes then goes to 2 then into one which can be somewhat restrictive as there are usually more bends in a 4-2-1 than a 4-1 and im not sure but i thought they only made 4-1 for Neons....
