yea thats the stock HP so yea.... well considering i am a college student the SRT4 swap is wayyyy out of my budget... i'd rather just sell me neon and buy a WRX for the amount i'd spend on the SRT4 Swap.... so yea....

lol one problem with that is neons are damn near impossible to sell, and u'd get next to nothing if u traded it in. The 5k u'd spend on the total swap is the best bang for your buck...when it comes to neons. butit really matters wut ur going for. If u want something 13sec and faster ud have to go with the srt swap, but if u just some thing with a lil more kick then ur heading in the right direction again thats IMO good luck tho

well the swap is nice for this reason and that reason but im sorry i'd take a car like the WRX over the swap b/c well think about it... its already more HP than the SRT4 and has much more potential as well as a larger market so yea... and thats why i wouldn't trade it in i would prolly end up selling the car locally once i have enough money saved up to buy a new/used car right when i sold the neon so yea.... right now im just looking for modest gains so i can have something quick.... i dont need stupid fast yet....

what else am i going to need to make roughly 140-160 HP to the wheels
an N/A 2.4l strattus swap... otherwise you are going to have to spend thousands to get that power to the wheels. 140 is more obtainable with the 2.0l, but 160 whp requires alot of work.

i would love to do the srt swap as well, but i am in the same boat as Izero and Adionik. Budget problems... oh well. little mods here and there will do fine, I just want a little more go and a little more show and I will be happy.

Im sorry but I would take the SRT swap over a wrx anyday. I hate all wheel drive. I love roasting them in 2nd gear and I cant stand to own an import. I love the fact that its american car and yet can still be modded and upgraded to run and destroythoselittle rice burners. and yesthe 2.0SOHC can be made to 400 WHP. but its going to be a pretty penny. but its still possible.

hahahahahaha 400WHP yea on a whole new motor almost...... you will have to replace damn near every single part on the motor.... and all wheel drive in my opinion is far better than front wheel drive..... i mean sure you may love roasting the tires in 2nd but i bet you dont realize that roasting your tires actually hurts your 1/4's and everything else... but hey its all good.. everyone likes their own thing

If you have a good set of tires (drag radials) and know how to drive you will be faster than an awd car due to the loss of power through the drivetrain.
