what freaking wrx have you seen beat a srt4?
the 2.0L wrx is lucky to make 170whp stock, and people struggle to break into the 300's with a TD06 20g
the MY06 and MY07 wrx's that have the 2.5L are in the same boat as the STI's.
the STI's make 220ish to the wheels stock and with a TD06 can make mid 300's pretty easily.
SRT's make a minimum of 230 to the wheels every time (providing no boost leaks and a healty motor). with the same TD06 a srt can be in the 400hp range. subaru sacrificed a lot of performance when designing the specifics of the boxer system.

the last serious WRX i raced was a MY06 with the 2.5L. it was very far from stock, 20g, fmic, tune, TBE, meth injection, etc. he estimated somewhere around the mid 300's with that setup. my car had a ported stock turbo, exhuast, and a tune at 20lbs. it made 272hp/331tq before the port work and tune. i ran away from that wrx, like no tommorrow. i have a rematch with him now that he has turned up the boost and broken the 400hp mark, we'll see what happens this time.

evo's can be a good race, but i'll put money on a srt with the same level of modification.

 

Every wrx I know of is turboed and not 2.0 around where I live and some pretty heavliy modded upgraded turbos at that that run 300 hp to 400 hp even seen some stis that run 500 hp . So there out there arighty . I had an acr srt4 not that big of deal I sort of miss her but rather move on to something different and importish . Plus the rides your thinkin of are the imprezas which are like the neon 2.0 and the wrxs are 2.5 liter. Go lookie over on cardomain at the killer wrxs and stis that they have on there.

 

no i absolutely know what i'm talking about, i've spent many, many hours under my little brothers 2003 2.0L turbo wrx. all wrx's up untill 2006 had 2.0 turbos. yes i know 500hp is possible but its much harder than getting it on a srt. trust me i know, i tuned my brothers car as well.

Ive just been lookin at the brand new wrxs which are 2.5 and you can add a cobb stage 1 or 2 to the wrx or sti to get about 400 to 500 hp with mods.

 

LOL! omg a cobb stg2 @ 400hp LOL! and yes all 2006+ wrxs like i said twice now are 2.5

I said with major mods and there are other turbo kits for the wrx that will reach you 500 hp easily. Id rather have a twin turbo supra they will kill any srt4 and almost any ride out there also woudnt mine getting my hands on a skyline either .Only srt4 I would get now is the new caliber one when it comes out next yr.

 

what kits exactly? that kit better include a built motor...lol

stage 2 fyi is a specific set of mods, so modding it more ends its title as stage 2

 

Ive done my research also since I was going to get a 2004 heavily modded sti for 25grand with 20 thousand miles on her. I found the garrett turbo system is the best to me will get you around 400 to 500 hp depends what mods you support it with. Oh theres also turbonetics t66 trubo charger kit also for 500 hp .

 

i really dont think you have, garrett does not make a turbo system for subaru http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...urbo_kits.html they do however make turbos, to make anywhere over 400hp on a 2.5L you are going to need a minium of a GT3076R, at that level you are also going to need some sort of internal engine upgrades. now i dont doubt that car made 400 (crank or wheel i do not know) because there are a few high hp subarus running around here but i do doubt you understand the level of modification required to reach that goal.

 

Back to Neons, anyone have a guesstimate what a 2004 SXT 5-spd would rate at the wheels, if it did a 15.880 in the 1/4-mile?
