Default Front brake conversion question

I am going to be finishing my turbo kit soon but I wanted to get my brakes and suspension in par first before i drop the turbo in. I wanted to know if I could add a SRT-4 big brake kit to my 04 neon. I know you have to have the hubs to get it to fit, but what else? Also do you guys know if the current axles for the neon will bolt right in. Thanks guys

You need the hubs, knuckles, and steering rack (and calipers, calip brackets, brake lines). You'll also meed AT LEAST 17" wheels for the BBK. As far as the axles go, all 00-05 Neons have the same axles, and SRT axles will not work on our transmissions.

honestly if you have disc brakes all around i dont think you should need to upgrade the brakes unless you are going to put down some serious power with that turbo.....so yea...

I agree the most you'll ever need are the SRT-4 front brakes (they have a little larger rotors/calipers). But then again, thats not stopping me from getting the Wilwoods....soooo lol.

Take into consideration that almost all SRT-4 guys who are running 300whp-500whp are still on stock brakes with just good pads and some PowerSlot rotors...

exactly so save yourself some money and just convert the rear to discs if they aren't if they are well you can always just buy a nice set of cross drilled and slotted rotors and just get a nice set of pads and you will be set brake-wise... then you can concentrate on getting your new clutch and the rest of ur turbo stuff :-D have fun

Yeah if you dont have rear disc brakes, convert the drums to discs before you do any conversions on the front. Even though your rear disks will only do 20%-30% of overall braking, its still going to be better then having those drums. Also, the SRT-4 and R/T rear disc setups are 99% identical, the only difference being the SRT-4 rear rotors are slightly thicker.

Then after your done with that, you can convert the front discs to SRT-4 brakes, and if you wanted add a BBK. You could also instead of using the SRT-4 calipers with the front conversion use the front 2-piston calipers and brackets out of any of the HEMI powered LX vehicles (excluding SRT-8).

You'll need the following parts out of an SRT-4, PT Cruiser GT, or Neon R/T for the rear disc conversion...

Knuckle/hub assembly
Rotors
Calipers
Brake lines
E-brake cables
