Default Painting Caliper

How do I remove my caliper to paint it?

I thought about just taping newspaper to the rest of the car and the rotor to avoid getting the paint on it.

Thats what I did I taped newpaper to the the rotors and surrounding areas. So what color are you going to paint yours ? Now gunmetal or silver or even black would look good with your yellow.

Some kind of black would look better than red and would sort of stand out . You have some black on your ride but no red right. I would stick to your color theme. Only painted mine red to stick with my color theme.

I would go yellow if your rims are going to be black would really look nice and not what your girlfriends brother said . It would blend in well with your theme. Ive seen alot of yellow rides that have gone with the yellow calipers hey Ive even seen silver and black rides going with yellow calipers . Dont be afraid to stand out and be different . You already have a srt4 front thats different than most on here and stands out from the mopar lip kits. Yellow FTW

I didnt remove my caliper totally when I painted them, but I removed them from the rotors, put a large towel over the rotors, stuffed the inside of the caliper to protect the piston, then you sand it down, put two or three light coats of paint and your done.

I just used high temp engine enamel, since it comes in a lot more colors then the specific "caliper paint"...and its basically the same stuff anyways.

I painted mine yellow (although thats about to change), the yellow engine enamel is almost identical to the solar yellow so it looks great, and if you have black rims its going to look even more sharp.

Okay but how did you remove it from there? Isn't it just a clip or something? I took a look at it the last time i had my tire off and I had no idea wtf to do.
