Default timing belt

have a 2003 sxt soch auto. is it true you don't have to change timing belt until 100,000? i have always seen where 60,000 is the general rule. my son now drives the car in another state and i can't remember what i read in the manual. it has 57,000 on it now. as long as i am here what other things are due? coolant, tranny, fuel filter? thanx in advance.

U don't have to change your timing belt until 90-100 thousand miles. U can go a bit longer but the miles I just stated is safe. I believe people say u should change your coolant every 50 thousand miles. I believe the tranny is suppose to be flushed around 60 thousand if I remember correctly. If u do those things around that milage, the car will be well taken care of.

Thats because the DF servers were moved to the West Coast. All you have to do is go into your profile settings and adjust to +3 off of server time and your all set.

When you do the belt Goodyear makes a kit with all the pulleys.
A lot like to change the water pump and thus the coolant.
Fuel filter is in the tank so don't worry about that.

ATX might as well do that.
Power steering would be a good change too.

Even if it's a 5-spd I'd go ahead and change the tranny fluid with new... I did mine at 36,000 miles and it actually was a little burnt, not much but a little bit... so I imagine that at 60,000 it'd probably be due MTX or ATX.
