Default 2nd gen projector question

Hey guys, those of you who had the projector headlight for the 03+... i have a few quick questions... what's that light beside the projector lens itself? is that suppose to be the high light? and one more question... because i like the vinyl S style eyelid that I have... do you guys think it's possible to mod it in a way so that i can change that second bulb beside the projector as a signal light instead of at the top where the vinyl would be? Thanks guys!

I dont think those LED's are bright enough to be turn signals by themselves...and that bigger light to the side of the projector housing is the high beam.

well... shoot... that's a bummer... ifi use hid, do you guys think it'll be good enough to lose the high beam? I'm thinking that if i get the headlight i might wanted to cut the wiring to the high beam and replace it with led and connect it to the signal wiring and just losing the high beam altogether... like how i only have low beam hid for my 9007... do you guys think that would work? or is H1 size hid dimmer than 9007? any ideas? and yeah... i'm not sure if just 3 leds would be bright enough for side signal... because i have 15 leds for my side marker currently and it's good enough to be seen but still dimmer than regular bulbs at daylight.

ok the projector is the low beams and the light by where old turn signals would be is high beams. the leds can be wired up to be turn signals, but they are no way bright enough. s-style eyelids are iffy. depending on the thickness, there is a bump on teh headlight lense that would interfere with it. some work sone dont, but then you are blocking the turn signal. no chance of getting a 9007 bulb even close to in there so stop now lol. the h1 bulb is smaller than a flashlight bulb, but suprisingly very bright. you have to file down the opening where the bulb goes in to get the hid bulb to fit. it has to be a h1 because its small. you can use the hid kit you have, just get new bulbs. hope that answers all your questions, i might have missed one, just ask if i did.

and just another thing.... with the ebay projectors you said that you cant put the stock 9007 bulbs in? or what? and do you have to cut the wiring to wire up the high beams....? give us the run down on what you need to do to just hook up and run regular lights with the ebay projectors please?

Those projectors use H1 halogen bulbs for the projector and the high beam. The headlights come with H1 bulbs and the two lights are connected to one connector which plugs in to your stock headlight plug. If your staying with the halogen bulbs that come with these headlights, it is plug and play as far as hooking them up goes.
