RE: Hurst short shifter
installing a new shifter is madd easy
pretty much remove the shift ****,a few screws holding the console in place, then pry the shift cables off the shifter. the shifter is held in place by 4 bolts, unbolt the shifter, install the new one in reverse order. less than an hour job.
i would also reccomend upgrading the bushings, just replace them while changing the shifter. then the ones under the hood you can either go and remove the airbox and battery or try to get to them from below (youll save some hassle removing the airbox and battery)
